Questions about this piece
Are cotton sweaters warm?
Warm enough for everyday wear, though they work differently from wool. Cotton holds its warmth in the air trapped by the knit rather than in the fiber itself, so a loose, open stitch breathes while a dense one insulates. It also doesn't itch, and it won't hold heat once it gets damp the way wool does. This one is a cotton knit you can wear against bare skin and layer under a jacket when you want more.
Is a boat neckline flattering?
On most people, yes - it broadens the shoulder line, which balances a fuller hip. A boat neck runs straight across from shoulder to shoulder with very little drop at the front, so it shows collarbone without opening down the chest. That high, wide line also means a necklace has to be short to sit above it; anything longer disappears. This one has that neckline, so a short chain or nothing at all works better here than a long pendant.
Where does the shoulder seam sit on this sweater?
Down your upper arm, not on the point of your shoulder - that's what a drop shoulder means here. It changes how you size it: the seam isn't trying to land on one spot, so you don't need the sweater to match your shoulder width, and Small, Medium and Large each cover a little more range than they would with a set-in sleeve. The sleeve starting lower is also why it hangs loose through the chest instead of fitting across it.
