Questions about this piece
What makes a sweater shimmer?
A separate metallic strand twisted through the knitting yarn. It is a flat, reflective filament rather than a coating, so the sparkle comes from the way the surface catches light at an angle, and it holds up far better than anything printed or glued on, which flakes. How much it shows depends on how closely those strands are spaced through the knit. Here the metallic fibers run through a soft, lightweight knit, which is why the sparkle stays subtle rather than reading as a sequin.
What do you wear to a holiday party if you don't want a dress?
A sweater that does something on its own, worn with pants or a skirt. The point is to put the interest in one piece and leave the rest plain, so the outfit reads considered rather than busy, and you stay warm at a party that runs late. A shimmer or a texture is enough to carry it; a logo or a slogan is not. That is how this one is meant to work: denim during the day, tailored pants or a skirt in the evening.
What is the neckline, and what sizes does it come in?
A boat neck, cut wide from shoulder to shoulder and shallow in front, with long sleeves, in XS through L and the one color, champagne. That width is what keeps a sweater from looking heavy at the top: it opens the line across the collarbone instead of closing everything up at the throat, and it is why you do not need a necklace to finish it. There is no deep opening asking to be filled.
