Questions about this piece
What bra do you wear with an open-back dress?
The three workable options are an adhesive or stick-on bra, a low-back bra with a converter strap that drops the band below the opening, or nothing at all when the dress gives you some support of its own. Adhesive cups are the most reliable for a fully open back, less comfortable over a long evening but they stay where you put them. A regular bra almost never works, because the band sits exactly where the opening is. This dress is lined at the bust in its own fabric, which gives you a second layer there to work with.
How do you get wrinkles out of a satin dress?
Steam it, and never put a hot iron straight onto satin, which leaves a shine mark you cannot undo. Hang it in the bathroom while you shower for light creases, or hold a steamer a few inches off the fabric and keep it moving. If you have to iron, turn the dress inside out, use the lowest setting and lay a cloth between the iron and the fabric. This one is polyester satin, which holds a crease less stubbornly than silk and drops most of them out overnight on a hanger.
Is this dress lined, and does it have a zipper?
It is lined at the bust in the dress's own fabric, and there is no separate lining below that, so from the waist down you are in a single layer of satin. That is worth knowing when you decide what to wear underneath. There is no zipper either. It is a slip-on, and the round twisted cord straps cross in an X over the open back rather than fastening anywhere. The shell is 100% polyester, and it comes in small, medium and large.
