Questions about this piece
What is polyamide in swimwear?
Polyamide is nylon under its other name. Swimwear uses it because it is smooth, dries fast, and holds color through repeated soaking, and it is nearly always blended with elastane so the fabric stretches and comes back. The higher the elastane share, the more hold you feel. The shell and the lining here are both 82% polyamide and 18% elastane, so the fabric behaves the same whichever side you turn out.
Can you mix and match bikini tops and bottoms?
You can, and fit is usually what starts it, since a top and a bottom that each fit well are often two different sizes. The visual rule is to let one piece stay quiet: a print with a solid, or two solids sharing an undertone, rather than two prints arguing with each other. A reversible set hands you those combinations without a second purchase. Flip one half of this one and you get the Saint-Tropez print top over cobalt bottoms, or the other way around.
How much of this bikini adjusts?
The neck and the back both tie, so you set the depth of the triangle top and the band around you separately instead of living with one fixed strap length. That is the part that counts once you are in the water, because a back tie you can pull in keeps the top where you put it. The bottoms are full coverage, the top is padded, and the set comes in Small, Medium and Large.
