Questions about this piece
Can you really take makeup off with just water?
With the right cloth, yes. It works mechanically rather than chemically: the fibers are fine enough that once they are wet they slide under pigment and lift it off the skin, which is the job a remover normally hands to oil or solvent. Nothing is left on your face afterward because nothing was put there. This one is water-activated and takes off waterproof makeup and sunscreen, and it is oil-free, so there is no film to rinse away.
Is a reusable makeup cloth better than makeup wipes?
For most people, yes, on two counts. A wipe is one use and then trash, and it works by leaving a slick of cleanser on your face that you either rinse off or sleep in. A cloth you wash and use again costs nothing after the first time, and your skin comes away clean. Wipes also invite dragging, because a drying wipe needs pressure to do anything. This one is machine washable and made to be reused, and it is non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
How big is the cloth, and what are the two sides for?
It is 8 by 4 inches, so folded once it sits in your palm and still gives you more than one clean patch to work with: a fresh section for each eye, and more left for the rest of your face. One side erases makeup and the other exfoliates, so you turn it over instead of reaching for a second product. It is the Mini PRO, packaged as a nutcracker ornament, so it hangs on a tree before it ever reaches a bathroom.
