What shoes do you wear with wide leg jeans?
Something with a bit of height, or at least a defined toe. A wide leg hangs straight down and covers most of the foot, so a flat round-toe sneaker disappears underneath it and the whole leg can read heavy. A heel, a platform sneaker or a pointed boot gives the hem something to break over and keeps the line moving. If you are set on flats, roll the hem once so the shoe stays visible.
Should you wash 100% cotton jeans in cold water?
Cold, and as rarely as you can stand. Hot water is what fades indigo and shrinks cotton, and with no elastane in the blend here, shrinkage is the thing to watch, since cotton with no stretch in it does not spring back the way a blend does. Turn them inside out, wash cold, and hang them or tumble on low. Between washes, airing them out overnight handles most of what a wash would.
What is the rise and inseam on these jeans?
An 11 3/4 inch front rise and a 32 inch inseam. That rise puts the waistband at or just above your navel, which is what lets you tuck a top in and still see the waistband instead of losing it under the hem. The 32 inch inseam is cut long on purpose for a wide leg, meant to graze the floor over a heel rather than stop at the ankle, so if you are under about 5'5" plan on hemming them. One more thing: they run large, so go down a size.
