Questions about this piece
Can you wear a button-down shirt open over another top?
Open over a tank or a fitted tee is the easiest way to wear one. Leave it unbuttoned and let it hang instead of tucking it, so the front edges draw a long line down either side of what is underneath. Keep that layer plainer than the shirt, because the open front is already doing something. This one is cut relaxed and slightly oversized, so there is width through the body to wear it open without it pulling across the back.
Is a cotton-polyester shirt better than all cotton?
Neither one wins outright; they trade different things. All cotton breathes better and softens with every wash, but it creases and can shrink in a hot dryer. Adding polyester holds the shape of a collar and a cuff, keeps creases from setting, and makes a shirt dry faster, at some cost to how cool it feels. A woven cotton-polyester blend, which is what this shirt is, sits in the middle: most of cotton's hand, less time under an iron.
How is this shirt cut, and what sizes does it come in?
It is drafted relaxed and slightly oversized, in S, M and L, and in a single color, a denim blue with horizontal stripes. The ease is in the cut rather than in the size, so you do not have to size up to get the loose line. The front buttons all the way to a collar, which is what keeps a relaxed shirt from reading as a beach shirt; close it to the top for a tidier line, or leave the first few open.
