What earrings should you wear to a wedding?

Something that catches light and that you can stand to keep on for eight or nine hours. Weddings run long and get photographed constantly, so a pair with movement or a reflective surface does more in pictures than a flat stud, but it still has to survive a ceremony, dinner and dancing without you wanting it out by nine. If your hair is going up, check that nothing will tangle in the pins. These are built light for their size, which is the part that decides whether a statement pair makes it to the end of the night.

Can you wear drop earrings if you wear glasses?

Yes, and drops are usually the easier choice. The arm of a pair of glasses runs across the top of the ear, so the crowded spot is right at the lobe and just above it, where a wide stud or a snug hoop ends up resting against the arm. Anything that hangs clears that line and moves independently of the frame. On this pair the teardrop swings well below the cluster, so the part that moves is nowhere near where the glasses sit.

What gives these earrings their glossy, domed look?

The cabochons. Each stone is polished into a smooth dome instead of being cut with facets, so the surface gives back one broad pool of light rather than the sharp scatter a faceted crystal throws, and that is what makes a cluster of them read as vintage rather than as rhinestones. Here they overlap into a fan shape, with a single teardrop hung underneath so that something moves below the fixed part of the earring. Built from 70% plastic and 30% alloy, a fan this wide still comes in light enough to keep on all evening, and it fastens with post backs; black and brown are the two colorways.

Hallelu's private label is a collaboration with designers across the USA, and most of our clothing comes out of Los Angeles. Once you've received your shipping confirmation, the order can't be cancelled. You can still exchange it by following our Exchanges Policy on the Shipping & Returns page.

Do you carry petite or plus sizes?

Why isn't my discount code working?
