Questions about this piece
Does acrylic jewelry scratch easily?
More easily than glass or metal, yes, though what you get is a shallow haze rather than gouges. Most of it comes from grit, and from a hard bangle rubbing against a watch case or a metal cuff in a drawer. Store it on its own, and clean it with a soft damp cloth rather than anything containing alcohol or acetone, which cloud the surface. This one is brown acrylic, and a warm tone carries fine marks better than a clear bangle would.
Can you wear a bangle with a watch?
You can, and the only real question is which wrist. Worn on the same arm, a rigid bangle slides down and taps the watch case every time you move your hand, and the softer of the two is what picks up the marks. Plenty of people split them, watch on one wrist and bangles on the other, or slide a soft beaded strand in between as a buffer. Acrylic is softer than a steel case, so this one would be the piece taking the wear.
Does this one open, or does it slip on?
It slips on. There is no clasp, no hinge and nothing to unfasten, so the only measurement that matters is your hand rather than your wrist. Tuck your thumb into your palm and measure around the widest part across the knuckles, and if it clears that, it will sit loose on the wrist afterward. The acrylic keeps it light enough that it does not slide down onto your hand while you are typing or writing, which is the usual complaint with a heavy metal bangle.
