Questions about this piece
What is a skort, and why wear one instead of a skirt?
A skort is a pair of shorts with a skirt panel laid over the front. Standing still it reads as a skirt; sitting down, climbing into a car or going up stairs, it behaves like shorts. That is the whole reason to choose one, because you get the line of a short skirt without having to think about how you are sitting. The skort is the bottom half of this set, cut mini, and the shorts underneath are what make that length easy to wear.
Does ribbed knit stretch out?
It stretches as you wear it and pulls back when you take it off, which is what the raised and sunken columns of a rib are for. What makes one go slack for good is heat and hanging: a hot dryer tires the elastic in the yarn, and a hanger lets gravity draw the ribs long over weeks in a closet. Wash cool, dry flat, and fold these rather than hanging them. Check the care label before the first wash.
How does a two-piece set like this fit, and what sizes does it come in?
S, M and L, in one colorway, sage multi stripe, and you take a single size for both pieces, so the cami and the skort have to agree. Both are cut fitted, which is why that matters more here than it would on a relaxed set. The cami has thin straps and a square neck, a line that sits flat across the chest instead of dipping, and the contrast waistband marks where the two halves meet, so the set still reads as two pieces rather than one.
