Why buy a separate bag strap?

Because it changes how a bag carries and how it looks without you buying another bag. A shoulder or crossbody strap turns a handheld purse into one you can wear through a whole day, and keeping two straps gives you two looks from the same bag. It is the cheapest way to get more out of something already in your closet.

Does a patterned strap clash with a patterned bag?

Usually, yes — a patterned strap works best when it is the only pattern in play. Against a solid bag it reads as a deliberate accent; against a printed bag the two compete unless one pattern is much smaller in scale than the other. This one is a navy geo print, so it sits most easily on a plain bag.

How wide is this strap, and will it fit my bag?

It is 2 inches wide. The width matters most where the strap meets the bag, so measure the rings or loops on yours before you decide — a 2-inch strap needs an opening at least that wide to lie flat instead of bunching up at the join. A bag built for a slim chain usually will not take one this broad.

Who makes this item?

Hallelu's private label is a collaboration with designers across the USA, and most of our clothing comes out of Los Angeles. We also carry Levi's, By Together, Promesa, Miou Muse, Dippin' Daisy's and Kimberly C. We're proud to support local and women-owned makers too, including jewelry by Sea Stamped and candles by Sweet Water Decor.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

You'll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking information as soon as your order leaves us.

Can I cancel my order?

Once you've received your shipping confirmation, the order can't be cancelled. You can still exchange it by following our Exchanges Policy on the Shipping & Returns page.

Do you carry petite or plus sizes?

Most of our pieces come in small, medium and large, based on what our vendors make available. We stock XS and XL whenever we can. For measurements on a specific piece, have a look at our sizing guide.

Why isn't my discount code working?

A few things to check: codes can't be stacked, some items are excluded from further discounts (including pieces made by our local artists), and codes do expire. If it still won't apply, email info@shophallelu.com with the code and we'll take a look.
